Whether or not you sync your phone and laptop on Windows 10 is not as important as the level of trust, and whether you have a reason to tether your financials to Microsoft. Ultimately, who will own your home page? The importance of the Windows 10 push now begins to make more sense. It is so important for Microsoft to win your desktop across devices. For the mobile devices, ease of payment is a natural part of the experience.

Apple’s iOS platform vs. Google’s droid platform vs. Windows phone or tablet platform remains a three way race. The three big players are pretty much equally beloved and berated by the people regardless. Our next operating system is likely decided by what kind of deal the Verizon or the AT&T guys pulls out. Which might even be an aesthetic decision about the phone. It all comes down to trust, and how you buy your apps.
